Re: Dreams to be reality .. Patience

Today, I looked at the blog of one of my cute little sisters: Nina! (http://ninawesome.blogspot.com)! She's multi-talented (and has absolutely NO CLUE that she is??) and supersweet, but from now on she may add INSPIRING to her resume!!
(I RE'd her post! Take a look!)

She wrote about her ultimate dream and how eagerly she wants to make it come true .. Then she had to think about the steps she has to take to achieve it (first finish school,plan and save money) But the most beautiful part of it was; She knew she had to wait on the Lord ..

Heavy. But so true. Ugh!

You just need to wait and see what God can do for you! But the development requires some patience .. The ultimate test.
Hmm .. and that's the hardest part!

The reason why that piece of her post caught my attention is, because I'm in that same particular zone right now ..
But honestly, I'd rather wait, then go on my own terms!
And please, Do not mistaken waiting for
1. sitting on your peaches,
2. waiting for the "rain" to come
3. not doing jack!!

NOOOO! make progress, plan, save and make tangible steps towards it! Just weeks ago, another inspiring and beautiful columnist named Dianna Hobbs (www.diannahobbs.com) wrote me:

"When there is a God given vision, there's also a God given PRO-vision"

Meaning: when it is God who gave you that dream in your heart, all you have to do is place it in His hands and He'll give you all the good stuff that you need to make it come true! And to be honest, He is the GOOD STUFF you need! And because He is the one that placed that dream in your heart, you don't have to worry on how or when it will come to pass.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

- Jeremiah 29:11-13

*Sigh* Ok, so I don't have to be weary ..
And I know patience is a virtue, but aaaaarrrrgghh!
(Lord forgive me!) But then again, I'll keep on waiting, because ..

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

- Isaiah 40:28-31

Alot has happend in these few days/weeks (already?) ..
This explains why I haven't blogged for so long ..
I see you wondering why. Well.. because I got weary ..
Yes, even me, a princess of God, gets weary to the extreme sometimes and these days, it has been nothing but weariness and boo-hooing ..
So, you're maybe wondering why I'm being this dramatic?
Well, I can tell you this much: A change is a good thing, but sometimes I'm afraid that a certain change took place because of my weariness ..

As some of you know, God keeps ALL of His promises!!
Without a pink-swear or anything!

"And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you"

- Luke 11:9

I believe that God grants you with all that He has promised!! He CAN NOT lie, so you gotta believe that He will do it! God is a Father that WANTS to bless you with ALL of your hearts desires! And sometimes He gives you just .. that!! You get it? No?
Here, let me dig a little deeper for ya ..

Scenario:
You asked for something that you've wanted for YEARS!
You've prayed every single day, 'cause you're not sure if God heared you the first time. You waited and waited, got weary, tempered and felt abandoned, but you kept on waiting ..
What happenend? Doesn't God hear you?
So you pray again .. and again ..

AAAAAH there it is!! You've recieved that thing you've asked for and He gave it to you! It came pretty easy, too!
And now .. you don't know what to do with it??
But God still kept His promise, you see?! Only you're not as happy as you thought you would be and things are not going as they should go, now that you got it ..
Well, you wanna know why? Sometimes God gives you what you've asked for, only because you kept on asking Him over and over again in stead of waiting on His timing .. Now the outcome is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT .. If only you had waited (smh) ..
Maybe the blessing would become greater (nmh).. Because actually, Gods timing is PERFECT!!

Well, if that's the case you're in ..
Have you thought about what was behind the door before you knocked on it? Have you thought about step 2, when you asked God to take you to step 1? You have to be carefull with what you ask/seek/wish for ..
My (former) Youthpastor once said that when you ask God for a certain something, you need to think it over if it truely is what you need .. If so, then you have to be aware of the fact that the second step is next, and so are the other steps ..
Are you willing to take them?

So you were too ancy and it messed up everything ..
You don't know how to go from A to B, because you wanted A soooo baaaad and forgot B!!
Well *supermantune* God is still here and for now just WAIT ON HIM! Don't worry, He'll make a way out of no way!
That's why it's so important for you to

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you."

- 1 Peter 5:7

In other words: Put all of your plans and thoughts in Gods hands.
Believe me, it's the savest place! That way, dreams will come true like you've never imagined them to! Trust me! Or better yet,

Trust God!

Dreams ..

.. do come true! Just keep the faith, cause faith is the hope for things not seen.

Yesterday, while walking to my usual Kingdom dancers rehearsal,
(yes, I'm in a church dancegroup that's blessed all the way!)
I was listening to a gospel/holyhiphop mixtape.

By the way, I love listing to Holy hiphop mixes, because they're so upbeat and they're full of the Good Word! And being a traveling lady,
it's the best solution to download a mixtape on my phone and just have all the blessed song together in one hour!
(Saves time from downloading one paticular song at a time, to fill my phone with blessed music!)

So, on my way, I heared a young preacher talking on the mixtape, saying: " When He made you, He had a name for you. He had a plan for you. He had a dream already for you".. That's what got my attention, standing in the middle of the road, by the way.
"In fact, when you think you're living your dream, you're living what He dreamed for you."

I laughed.

I was enlighted by those words.
See, because I am Miss dreamer herself and I dream and hope for things that seem impossible.
I have the faith in very big things that people call me crazy for or tell me to look at little closer at reality for a change.
Still I believe them all to come true! Let me give you an example:

My aunt; a women of mid 60's. Beautiful, old school and sharp.
The fact that she is my aunt alone makes me love her. Always the health-freak, going to the gym, running tracks, always making sure she'd never ate someting to fat or sugary. You know, that would give you those "elderly diseases" as she would call them.

"No, honey, I'm not gonna eat that! They say it's a slow ride to high cholesterol if you eat that." When I saw her, watching her diet like that (that she didn't need), I could only admire and applaud her ..

And now, I still do that ..
Even now, that she had a tumor and the cancer had spread out to her stomach .. I still applaud her, because she is running on a different track, but with that same confidence.
She is not giving up, even if she has a rough day and the road is full of hill and bumps. Yeah, sometimes she does want to give up .. and then I ask God if I can keep that strength for her .. If she loses hope, I'll hope for her .. when she can't pray, I'll pray for her.

And that's what I'm doing .. I don't care what the doctor says .. I'm dreaming of a day that she'll walk. Even run! She will .. and I want to believe that for her ..
Because this is what the Lord Jesus says in Mark 16:17-18 : "And these signs will be with those who have faith: in my name they will send out evil spirits; and they will make use of new languages; They will take up snakes, and if there is poison in their drink, it will do them no evil; they will put their hands on those who are ill, and they will get well."

We have to know that God will provide for His children! But His children have to believe, have faith, live in hope for what they dream of. Dreams do come true .. In Gods hands. Because, as the young preacher said:
He already had a dream for you and you are living what He has dreamed for you.

What we also need to learn is to wait on the right time
for the dream to come true!

Wait .. *sighn*

That is a tough thing to do, but these words encourage me every time:
"But those who are waiting for the Lord will have new strength; they will get wings like eagles: running, they will not be tired, and walking, they will have no weariness." - Isaiah 40:31

Again, I can feel the ends of my mouth touching my ears! Smiling .. BIG TIME!

She will make it and I believe it! Me and my family will keep on praying for her.
